Job description
Saguaro Solar Electric is looking for energetic people to work in a fast paced environment, with a fast growing local PV installer. Ideal candidates are motivated team players with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn and master all aspects of PV solar systems.
Primary responsibilities to preform project installations include
- Work will be primarily performed as part of a team. Service work may be solo or with another service technician, varies based on job need.
- Deliver high level of customer service by addressing customers' questions and concerns and effectively communicating system specifications, performance metrics, and variances.
- Knowledge of equipment specifications for the major components used in PV arrays, being able to read technical drawings and building plans and maintain a strong understanding of PV design requirements (dependent on role).
- Complete necessary paperwork, data entry and notes upon completion of the installation.
- Communicate with other departments internally as necessary to ensure customer expectations are met
- Maintain accurate knowledge of process and systems that support the service department.
- Mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules, and electrical equipment
- Assembly of mounting hardware
- Pulling inventory for specific projects
- Following layout of solar modules
Requirements:
- Rooftop solar installation experience required (1+ years preferred)
- Knowledge of PV equipment and installation process
- Knowledge of electrical wiring and equipment
- General construction/framing experience is a plus
- Working at heights including on rooftops, climbing ladders and stairs, and performing repetitious duties such as lifting, bending and standing for long periods of timeAbility to lift 50-100 pounds of weight frequently throughout the workday
- Ability to safely handle and maintain basic hand and power tools used for installation
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor
- Ability to work well others in a collaborative team environment
- Valid Driver's License
