Job description

As a Senior Account Manager, you will be focused on building strong, long-term relationships within Commercial, Industrial & Institutional Markets, while driving revenue growth. In this role, you will cultivate strategic partnerships, be a brand ambassador, strengthen client loyalty, and expand our market presence. The ideal candidate will excel in understanding client needs and delivering tailored solutions, while also meeting revenue goals by identifying growth opportunities and aligning efforts with business objectives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Develop and foster relationships to target potential clients interested in Energy Efficiency, Electrification, Decarbonization and Renewables projects that include but are not limited to LED Lighting, Mechanical system upgrades (Boilers, Chillers, Heat Pumps), HVAC Control System integration and/or replacement, solar and battery storage, retro-commissioning and performance contracting.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of client needs and requirements while collaborating with the technical team to ensure system designs, installations, and commissioning align with customer needs.
  • Assist with the preparation of detailed proposals and quotations, outlining the scope of work, cost estimates, and project timelines.
  • Partner with the project team to transition the customer from proposal to installation.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and market developments to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations and demonstrations to clients, highlighting the benefits of our customized systems and services.
  • Assist with the negotiation of terms and conditions of contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and project status using CRM software.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Perform other duties as required.

  • Bachelor's Degree highly preferred
  • 10+ years of professional experience in MUSH ESPC, Energy Management Consulting, and/or Design-Build and other alternative delivery construction markets
  • Experience presenting and selling to city councils, school boards and public forums is required
  • Understanding of public procurement requirements for the energy services market including typical contractual vehicles
  • Understanding of standard building conservation measures (solar, lighting, HVAC, etc.)
  • Understanding of typical energy project financing vehicles
  • Knowledge of Commercial and Industrial markets preferred
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related field, with a demonstrated history of successfully driving growth and achieving measurable results.
  • Strong expertise in market leadership and relationship management, with the ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships that foster long-term business success.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively engage clients, present solutions, and influence decision-makers at all levels.
  • Proficient in using CRM tools to manage client interactions, track sales pipelines, and streamline business development efforts, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Proven ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs, demonstrating a results-driven approach to achieving revenue growth and business development objectives.

Additional Qualifications:
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple client relationships simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.

Work Environment, Position Type and Expected Hours:
This job operates in a professional office environment though day to day is expected to largely be meeting with clients. It is a full-time 40+ hour position. Days and hours of work may vary but are typically Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with periodic travel required. This position is based out of our corporate office in Cranston, RI.
