Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Field Technician to join an industry leading environmental consulting and contracting firm. As an (entry-level) Field Technician I at Our Client, you will gain basic knowledge of the terminology, processes, and equipment used in the operation, maintenance, and monitoring (OM&M) of various environmental gas control systems, while also learning essential health and safety requirements. Your tasks will be straightforward, providing a solid foundation for your career growth. You will report to a senior-level supervisor, such as a Senior Field Technician, OM&M Project Foreman, or a Regional Manager. We are looking for a Field Technician to service the Los Vegas NV area

How You Can Make an Impact

  • Focus is on gaining the fundamentals to understand the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of various environmental systems.
  • Work with senior staff in the planning and execution of assigned tasks, including daily Crew Activity Plans (CAP), monitoring, and/or adjustment of various environmental control system components.
  • At the direction of senior staff, performs basic maintenance and repairs of various environmental control system components.
  • Become familiar with the concepts of conducting field observations/actions and report those observations/actions by way of field notes and daily logs, which will be used by others to prepare verbal and written client communications.
  • Through training, gain basic knowledge to utilize field instruments to measure required environmental control system data, including calibration and proper care and handling of field instruments
  • Participate in preliminary review of collected data with supervisor to gain an understanding of the fundamentals required to interpret field data
  • Work with senior staff to make operational adjustments to environmental control system components in conjunction with the results of preliminary data reviews.
  • Receive training to utilize the appropriate tools, equipment, and materials to maintain and repair environmental control system components.
  • Assists Laborers, Field Technician II, Senior Field Technicians, or other staff with the removal of landfill liquid pumps.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2-3 Years of experience in field service (construction, gas, oil, solar)
  • Expected to possess or be willing to complete a 40-Hour HAZWOPER Course, OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 preferred (training will be provided if not current).
  • Basic knowledge in the use of various computer/technology skills including Smartphones, Tablets, and Microsoft Office Programs (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • A valid driver’s license with a driving record in good standing is required.
  • Must meet physical requirements and pass a human performance evaluation (HPE).
