A large, reputable utility company in Bothell, WA, is currently hiring for an Energy Advisor (Inbound Customer Support). The Energy

Advisor serves as a specialized customer service representative supporting the company's energy efficiency and clean energy initiatives. Advisors

handle inbound customer inquiries related to rebates, incentives, energy efficiency programs, high bill concerns, contractor referrals, solar energy

programs, electric vehicle programs, voluntary renewable energy offerings, and time-of-use billing programs. This role requires navigating multiple information systems, researching program details across various products and services, educating customers on energy-saving opportunities, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. Advisors work in a collaborative, remote-first environment while supporting departmental performance goals and customer engagement initiatives.

Pay - $28/hr. - $32/hr. (Depending on relevant work experience, industry, bilingual, etc.)

Location - Remote (Will require travel to the Bellevue, WA site once a quarter) - Must be local in WA.

Contract Duration - 12-Month Contract (High Possibility for Conversion)

(Responsibilities)

  • Handle inbound customer inquiries related to energy efficiency, rebates, incentives, green energy, EV programs, solar, and billing concerns.

  • Navigate multiple systems and knowledge bases simultaneously.

  • Research program information and provide consultative customer guidance.

  • Provide professional phone presence and customer empathy.

  • Handle incoming customer calls in a high-volume queue environment.

  • Analyze customer energy usage patterns.

  • Resolve billing concerns and account inquiries.

  • Educate customers on energy conservation solutions.

  • Meet departmental performance and service metrics.

  • Deliver professional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

(Qualification Requirements)

  • 1-3+ years of experience in a call center environment.

  • Comfortable handling high-volume, fast-paced inbound calls (this team is less metrics-driven than traditional call center environments).

  • Interest or knowledge in energy efficiency, sustainability, renewable energy, EVs, and/or utilities.

  • Ability to educate customers on energy efficiency, conservation solutions, and support with billing concerns and account inquiries.

  • Bilingual (HIGHLY DESIRED) in Cantonese (Top), Mandarin, Spanish, Vietnamese, or other languages.

  • Any prior or current experience working in a customer support environment for a utility company or energy/power company would be a strong bonus.

  • Any degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or similar is a bonus.

  • Must be local in WA (Relocation is not considered at this time).

  • Comfortable submitting to a drug test (including THC screening) upon offer.

Pay and Benefits

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
