Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for a Cabin Installer- A220 to join our Team based in Mobile, AL

The Aircraft Structure Assembler (cabin installer) is a critical part of the aircraft assembly process. The position requires previous knowledge of aircraft structure assembly and skill to complete the allocated tasks on Quality and On time. To be successful within this role, the Cabin installer must possess a high level of integrity, the ability to communicate clearly, and be flexible to work across three shifts. The Structure Assembler must be able to work alone and as part of a team in a high pressure environment to enable the delivery of a High Quality Aircraft and On Time Delivery to internal customers (TAKT).

This position is a temporary (contract) position with no specific time period but could be extended or shortened as needed. Contractors are employed by a 3rd party vendor and placed on assignment to Airbus in America.

Nearby on 'Airbus Way' you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. The facility, which strengthens the U.S. aerospace industry, is part of Airbus' strategy to enhance its global competitiveness by meeting the growing needs of its customers in the United States and beyond.

Your challenges:

  • Arrive at work on time with the right mindset and be ready to work and compliant with all Safety requirements.

  • Complete allocated tasks on Time and on Quality.

  • Understand the build process and specifications within the cabin installation Station.

  • Work in compliance with production work orders and supporting documents. (e.g. Quality standards, drawings and SOI's)

  • Sign off work when tasks are completed.

  • Clean as you go mindset.

  • Complete installation of A220 Cabin - Seats, sidewall, carpet, cargo, lav, stowage bins, ceiling panels.

Your boarding pass:

  • 2 years minimum experience in Aviation Production or equivalent including cabin/interior installation

  • Previous hands-on experience with cabin installation including sidewalls, cargo, sidewalls, carpet, seats, ceiling panels.

  • 5+ years minimum experience in Aviation Production

  • Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages)

  • High school diploma or GED.
