Your Impact

As a Pearce Field Maintenance Technician, you'll help keep critical facilities, equipment, and renewable energy sites operating safely and efficiently. One month you may support warehouse operations, fleet maintenance, or shop projects. The next, you could be assisting experienced technicians at commercial solar farms or battery energy storage sites.

If you enjoy working with your hands, solving mechanical and electrical problems, and learning new skills, this role offers a unique opportunity to build a long-term career in renewable energy and critical infrastructure. At Pearce, we invest in your training and provide a pathway into specialized careers in solar, battery storage, HVAC, power generation, and critical power systems.

This role requires the ability and willingness to travel 100% of time. Candidates should reside in Cleveland, Ohio for some onsite work as well.

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and facility equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and systems to identify issues and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Install and maintain conduit, cable trays, brackets, supports, shelving, and other equipment as needed.
  • Support warehouse, fleet, and shop operations, including equipment maintenance and organization.
  • Assist experienced field technicians with maintenance and repairs at commercial solar and battery energy storage sites.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of completed work and follow company safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • 1 year of experience in maintenance, construction, automotive, manufacturing, military, industrial, or a related field preferred—or completion of a trade school program.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 100% following Pearce's 6 weeks on, 1 week off rotational schedule.

Physical / Work Environment

  • Work is performed in warehouses, shops, industrial facilities, commercial solar sites, battery energy storage facilities, and other customer locations in both indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move up to 100 lbs occasionally.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and working on concrete floors.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights of 6–30 feet.
  • Requires use of hand and power tools such as drills, saws, wrenches, and measuring tools.
  • Use equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, hoists, and lifts when required.

Compensation: $23.00-$25.00 hourly/DOE

In addition to wages, employees may also be eligible for performance and referral bonuses, production incentives, tool/equipment and fuel stipends, company vehicle, per diem or other applicable compensation.
