Software Trainer

AEG Petroleum LLC, based in Amarillo, TX, is a growing family owned and operated petroleum distributor. We are looking for a highly motivated Software Trainer to join our Amarillo team and contribute to our continued success. Our commitment to customer service, reliability, and safety has set us apart serving the agriculture, oil field, industrial, fleet and government accounts throughout the tri state area and beyond.

Job Summary:

The Software Trainer is responsible for supporting the successful adoption and ongoing use of our internal systems and platforms. This role is responsible for developing and delivering training programs, creating user friendly documentation, and serving as a key resource for employees as they learn and utilize company software. The ideal candidate is an effective communicator who can translate technical concepts into practical, easy to understand instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Design, develop and deliver training programs for company software systems (in person and virtual)

·         Create and maintain training materials, quick reference guides and training videos

·         Lead onboarding training for new hires and ongoing training for existing team members

·         Assess training needs across departments and tailor programs accordingly

·         Provide one-on-one and group support

·         Collaborate with leadership teams to ensure training aligns with business processes

·         Track training progress and evaluation through feedback

·         Stay current on system updates and ensure training materials reflect necessary changes

·         Assist with software implementation, upgrades and improvements

Qualifications:

·         2+ years of experience in training, teaching or software implementation

·         Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems or related fields

·         Strong understanding of business software systems (ERP, industry specific platforms)

·         Excellent communication and presentation skills

·         Ability to simplify complex systems to adapt to different learning styles

·         Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

·         Experience in creating training materials of different types
