We are experiencing significant expansion and are looking to expand our team with the addition of a Quality Assurance Analyst. Reporting to the Director, Software, the Quality Assurance Analyst ensures the reliability and quality of software products by planning and executing tests for game software and related applications. This role will involve close collaboration with software developers, game designers, graphic designers, product owners and other colleagues to prioritize and execute projects.

This is a full-time, permanent position. We are looking for this role to join our team on site at our Winnipeg corporate office.


The Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute test plans, cases and scripts for various software development and implementation
  • Collaborate with developers to understand game mechanics and features ensuring software meets technical requirements
  • Proactively identify test environment needs and test related data requirements
  • Enhance the effectiveness of quality assurances activities for Activate software
  • Ensure seamless integration of developing, testing and deploying software within CI/CD pipelines
  • Automate test scripts for regression and stress testing purposes to ensure consistent user experience and visual accuracy
  • Evaluate product changes against specifications and provide feedback based on usability and visual design elements, understanding end-to-end product
  • Maintain clear documentation of test coverage, known issues, and testing outcomes
  • Proactively identify and provide feedback on software problems
  • Participate in scrum ceremonies and advocate for agile and QA best practices
  • Lead bi-weekly quality assurance meetings to communicate testing plans, results and feedback

The Qualifications:

  • 2-year post-secondary certificate or diploma in related field
  • 4-5+ years of transferable work experience
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Experience with Agile methodology and tools, including JIRA
  • Must have daily reliable transportation to Activate locations for deployment and software testing
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience integration and dependencies
