About the Position

The Software Quality Assurance Analyst II will be responsible for the testing of processes, developing software test plans, and validating database integrity after each test.

Functions
  • Perform processes related to quality assurance testing for new software systems and applications.
  • Identify and review activities and deliverables critical to project quality.
  • Develop and document software test plans and test cases as required.
  • Work with product managers and business analysts to understand requirements for system changes.
  • Assist in establishing formal QA processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices.
  • Assist in establishing metrics and developing new tools and processes to ensure software quality goals are met.
  • Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans and procedures (manual and automated)
  • Execution of tests and verification of results. Validate database integrity after each test.
  • Log and track defects, working directly with developers to ensure appropriate follow-through and defect resolution.
  • Work with the Quality Assurance Manager to create strategy/roadmaps for QA.
Qualifications
  • BS in computer science or related field.
  • 3-5 years of proven software testing experience.
  • 3-5 years of UI / API and Backend/database testing experience and should be able to write SQL to analyze data.
  • 1-2 years of automated script development experience.
  • Strong experience with the Waterfall software development methodology and testing framework.
  • Experience in creating and executing SQL queries preferably in Microsoft SQL server.
  • WMS and TMS domain knowledge.
  • Perform processes related to quality assurance testing for new software systems and applications.
  • Identify and review activities and deliverables critical to project quality.
  • Execution of tests and verification of results. Validate database integrity after each test.
  • Supply chain experience with warehouse and transportation management systems.
  • Experience with FDA validation requirements.
  • Experience in automation framework development.
