Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide support to the Student Affairs office in the School of Social Work in maintaining and providing technical assistance and ongoing development to improve the internship process for students, utilizing the internship database.
The Project Coordinator supports two primary functions within the internship team: 1) the internship database that houses all information related to internships; and, 2) data collection for evaluation. This role also supports technology that is related to internship student success.
1. Departmental Goals: The BSW and MSW programs require students to complete a 1st level and 2nd level internship during their program. The Internship team supports approximately 500 students annually to successfully secure and complete their internships. There are three programs the database supports - traditional MSW program, Online MSW program and the Online Bilingual Program.
2. University Goals: To ensure compliance with the accreditation standards of both CSWE and the Higher Learning Commission, as well as engage in continuous improvement efforts, this position supports data collection, analysis and reporting of student proficiency in core competencies related to evaluation of the BSW and MSW programs.
This includes re-creating and testing all of the internship forms, creating workflows between all stakeholders, providing training to all stakeholders, and creating new processes.
This role supports all database users including Internship Coordinators, students, Loyola Liaisons, and Internship Supervisors. All stakeholders utilize the internship database to ensure accurate documentation.

This position requires a highly motivated and multifaceted individual to contribute to and be part of a proactive and student-focused team. You will support our internship team with varying levels of technical expertise and possess the ability to think logically to determine the best solution for data management and evaluation related issues. To be successful in this role, you will be thorough, creative, and technologically oriented, as well as interpersonally skilled with a passion for continued learning and collaboration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Become an expert in the utilization of the internship data management program;
  • Ensure that the internship database runs smoothly and efficiently:
  • Provide application support to database platform users;
  • Thoroughly document and manage database platform issues and use defined systems to;
  • Collaborate with University IT and/or database platform support as needed to resolve issue sand report software glitches, etc.
  • Work with internship team to continually improve the database platform experience for all stakeholders;
  • Data management and ongoing maintenance - collects, cleans and analyzes data to support integrity of the online database;
  • Serves as a resource and consultant to the School of Social Work around data and evaluation information;
  • Manage and respond to evaluation requests related to grant, reaffirmation and other data requests;
  • Program evaluation and survey design lead; prioritize key metrics for ongoing assessment of activities and outcomes;
  • Conducts quality assurance of data;
  • Design evaluation plans and determine questions to address;
  • Enhance communication within team members and stakeholders;
  • Participate in the Assessment and Evaluation Committee;
  • Collaborate with Student Affairs team and other members of the School of Social Work to meet goals;
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience
Bachelor's degree in related field and one-three years of related experience.
Qualifications

  • Skills in research design, survey research design, academic program review, assessment of student learning, quantitative and qualitative analysis and effective report writing;
