Job description

Amentum is seeking a Software Testing Specialist to help test software and document software testing results to support our Naval customers at NSWC Dahlgren. You will be part of our growing systems & software engineering team and contribute to our diverse skillsets across multiple contracts. We are looking for individuals to join our team atmosphere that are eager to make a difference.

Successful candidates must possess excellent communication skills and interact directly with customers and engineering personnel. The ability to take direction and operate independently, as well as participate in team environments, is necessary for this support effort. While under COVID, remote support is maximized, but you must be available to report to Dahlgren as needed to supplement telecommuting.

Desired experience in Configuration Management process and procedures to identify, document, and control the functional and physical characteristics of a software configuration item. Responsibilities: * Receive instructions and conduct software testing according to written procedures. * Document results in a detailed way and provide accurate test reports.

Provide technical configuration notes, support and guidance * Media production and software testing Ensure the integrity and consistency of multiple CM Change Control Boards (CCBs) * Provide CCB meeting support * Prepare and provide agendas, minutes, notifications, and information packages Track action and decision items Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in a pure science field and/or 3 years of job-related experience. * Excellent technical acumen with analytical ability, and written communication skills; working knowledge of MS-Office and integrated software applications; one-year configuration management experience including data entry and report generation or similar in collegiate coursework; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required. * Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
