Job description

Job Summary:
Booz Allen Hamilton is a company focused on transforming technology in the Intelligence Community. They are seeking a Software Test Engineer to design and execute test plans, validate data accuracy, and collaborate with teams to resolve system issues.
Responsibilities:
• Design and execute manual test plans, test cases, and procedures.
• Perform system integration and end-to-end testing across UI, API, back-end, and data workflows.
• Validate data accuracy using SQL and troubleshoot integration issues through API and log analysis.
• Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Jira, Zephyr, or TestRail.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and DevOps teams to resolve system and data issues.
• Participate in Agile or SAFe ceremonies and support sprint and PI testing activities.
• Report test metrics, defects, and quality insights to stakeholders.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years of experience with manual software testing
• Experience with test planning, execution, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing
• Experience with Linux or UNIX environments and troubleshooting system or data issues
• Knowledge of SDLC or STLC, and Agile methodologies
• Ability to analyze requirements, develop test scenarios, and document results
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional, fast-paced environments
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• HS diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain a Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of hire date
Preferred:
• Experience with Postman, SoapUI, SQL, and log analysis
• Experience with Zephyr, Jira, and Confluence
• Experience with GitLab, Java, Python, JavaScript, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Azure DevOps
• Experience with the Cloud, including AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Knowledge of government contracting environments
• Possession of excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
• Bachelor’s degree
