This is more than just an operations role. It's an opportunity to play a vital part in delivering successful commercial construction projects by supporting project teams, strengthening client and subcontractor relationships, maintaining project controls, and helping drive operational excellence from project startup through closeout.

YOUR ROLE

As an Operations Associate, you will serve as a key support resource for project managers, superintendents, owners, and subcontractors throughout the lifecycle of commercial construction projects. Your days will involve assisting with project scheduling, procurement, budgeting, reporting, and project controls while helping ensure assigned projects stay on time, on budget, and aligned with company objectives.

You will help manage relationships with project stakeholders, coordinate communications between owners, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and field teams, and support project managers with critical administrative and operational functions within Jonas Premier. Your responsibilities will include assisting with subcontract creation and management, RFIs, submittals, observations, change orders, vendor setup, and monthly billing processes.

In this role, you will contribute to project controls by assisting with takeoffs, schedule preparation, procurement tracking, material management, subcontract scope development, buyout activities, and weekly project reporting. You will maintain accurate project information, monitor data integrity, and proactively identify project issues while recommending practical solutions that support successful project outcomes.

You will also play an important role in project closeout activities, coordinating documentation, generating closeout status reports, tracking outstanding items, and helping ensure all project financials, billing, retainage, and closeout requirements are completed efficiently. Strong communication and problem-solving skills will be essential as you act as a liaison between project teams, operations, estimating, accounting, clients, and subcontractors.

YOUR SCHEDULE

This is a full-time position. Specific work schedules and responsibilities will be provided based on project demands, operational priorities, and company workflow.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of experience in construction administration, project coordination, operations support, or a related construction industry role
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
  • Experience supporting project schedules, budgets, procurement, change orders, and project documentation
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues in a practical and professional manner
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software

Experience with Jonas Premier, project controls, reporting systems, and commercial construction processes is strongly preferred for this Operations Associate role!
