Short Description:

Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects. Oversees all aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project. Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project. May require a bachelor's degree and 7 or more years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of Contractor staff. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

The purpose of this request is to procure Project Management Services for to support the development and release of a Request for Proposal (RFP) in the Transportation Systems Monitoring Unit (TSMU) of Transportation Development division. This project is to develop an RFP, procure and implement a new traffic counting software. The TSMU has the mission to formulate a system to collect and process traffic related data on Oregons public roads. TSMU provides traffic volumes, flow maps, trends, manual counts and vehicle class on public roads to Federal, State, Local, private and public constituents.

The candidate will be responsible for developing and updating project related documents, as directed by . This will include a detailed project plan and schedule, Risk and Issue logs, Monthly Status reports, as well as identifying individual efforts, estimating project resources, identifying and scheduling key programmatic milestones and dependencies, and performing project management services to manage and track progress of the project, ensuring these projects are completed on time and within budget
