Description:
The intern for MN-13 is going to work as an integral part of a new vehicle launch project team. The Intern will build experience within vehicle project management as well as value stream management, parts quality management, as well as other supplier related processes such as capacity management. As a growth opportunity this role will provide the chance to enhance technical knowledge while collaborating with suppliers (status meetings and audits) and BMW assembly (process and product review). The intern will gain an understanding of the importance of developing clear messages regarding vehicle status by supporting the team with regular management reports which are used at all levels of BMW management including Board Members.
The Intern will be working in a fast-paced environment so a strong ability to work independently, have flexibility and be proactive is necessary.
The qualified intern should expect to contribute and improve in the following functions:
  • Facilitation of Team Meetings and MN Level Management meetings.
  • Maintain intranet, sharpoint and confluence sites.
  • Update and suggest improvements to increase efficiency of the team and department.
  • Implement lessons learned in each successive build phase of the new vehicles being launched.
  • KPI management and reporting to ensure successful launch withing the supplier network including follow up when deficits are identified.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications:
  • Preferred Degrees: Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
  • Work Term Dates: March 8th, 2027- September 17th, 2027.
  • Must be enrolled at a university outside of the United States.
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on the US grading scale
  • Must have completed a prior BMW internship of at least 3 months in length.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week).
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
  • Must provide the following paperwork in English.
    • Curriculum Vitae/Resume.
    • Last University Performance Record.
    • Cover letter (not required).
    • Relevant references and certificates (not required).
