Job description

This role will support the Software Integration, Infrastructure and Automation team as a Project Engineer. This position is a fast-paced role that will report up through Combat Systems with responsibilities to ensure integration of Cost and Schedule for mission system software teams, generate and maintain technical roadmaps, and process/metric generation.
What You Will Be Doing
- Maintaining the technical, cost and schedule aspects of all applicable contracts of the team
- Assisting project managers and leadership with monitoring and evaluating project progress and problem solving, including developing and assisting in managing detailed project plans, timelines, and technical content
- Reviewing the status of projects and budgets, support and cost inquiries, variance documentation, critical path and forecast misses, annual comprehensive estimate at completion (CEAC) efforts, and new business proposals
- Collaborating with all levels of personnel within the Team, other functional departments, programs, and government personnel
- Providing earned value performance and EAC assessments, risks and opportunities and implementing approved risk handling plans
- Participating in all required reviews and audits with the customer, government, DCMA, etc.
- Collecting information and generating technical roadmaps to reflect program performance
- Generating Basis of Estimates (BOEs) with support of the team
- Supporting Control Account Managers (CAMs) on the team with their day-to-day roles
- Perform other supporting duties as assigned by team leadership

Project Engineers are essential to ensuring that teams can succeed within LM Aero and, in this role, the Project Engineer will be interacting with several pieces of the software development lifecycle and gain a lot of exposure to the process of how software is developed and delivered. As a project engineer, this individual will also be helping to ensure that the team has the appropriate metrics, data collection/organization, and status available to operate smoothly. **Must be a US citizen. This position requires special access and an interim Secret clearance to start.**
