Job Title: PeopleSoft Sr. Software Engineer

Location: Topeka, KS

Duration: Full-Time Perm Role with benefits

Job Description:

Our client is a leader in the education financial services market, is seeking a PeopleSoft Sr. Software Engineer to work with its General Ledger and Account Payable solutions. Looking for strong partnerships to provide insightful and customized retirement solutions for employers and individual investors nationwide. Through a broad advisor network and its nationally recognized money managers, Security Benefit provides mutual funds, annuities and retirement programs.

General Accountabilities:

  • The position is responsible for designing, coding, configuring, supporting, understanding, enhancing and administering the custom or off the shelf PeopleSoft solutions utilized by the internal Finance and Actuarial teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and fully test application programs from business requirements and/or program specifications on time and according to requirements for custom or packaged software
  • Create technical designs and documentation as required by SDLC
  • Communicates, escalates, and/or resolves risks and issues related to assigned projects/initiatives
  • Operational support of PeopleSoft, including resolution of incidents, service requests, planned support activities, and problem management
  • Create and maintain change management requests and follow the change management process
  • Contributes to the identification and/or delivery of related technical process improvements
  • Effectively communicate with various levels of the organization
  • Any and all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5-7 years' of Software Engineering experience with PeopleSoft solutions including but not limited to General Ledger, Accounts Payable, PeopleTools 8.5x, PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM), PeopleCode, PeopleSoft Internet Architect, PeopleSoft Integration Technologies like PeopleSoft Integration Broker, Component Interface, and Web Services
  • 3+ years' with SQL in a Relational Database Environment (Microsoft SQL preferred) including skills in Structured Query Language (SQL) programming language with ability to code highly complex SQL
  • 5+ years' of professional experience in software analysis, development, engineering and support in a large/medium corporate setting
  • Experience with PeopleSoft 9.2 preferred
  • Experience working in cross-functionally or across organizations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills along with presentation skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks of highly varied nature in a timely manner
  • Strong business acumen and existing knowledge of financial services industry

Client will pay relocation expenses upto some level ; and for in-person interview client will pay travel expenses
