Job description

Garner's mission is to transform the healthcare economy, delivering high-quality and affordable care for all.

We are fundamentally reimagining how healthcare works in the U.S. by partnering with employers to redesign healthcare benefits using clear incentives and powerful, data-driven insights. Our approach guides employees to higher-quality, lower-cost care, creating a system that works better for everyone. Patients achieve better health outcomes, employers spend healthcare dollars more effectively, and physicians are rewarded for delivering exceptional care rather than performing more procedures.

Garner is one of the fastest-growing healthcare technology companies in the country. Our products are trusted by the most sophisticated employers and providers in the industry, and we are building a team of talented, mission-driven individuals who are motivated to make a meaningful impact on healthcare at scale.

About the role:

We are seeking an exceptional Implementation Project Director to join our Implementation Team. This role will report to the Director, Implementation. This role will be responsible for managing the entire implementation lifecycle, from project initiation through completion, ensuring delivery of high-quality solutions that meet client expectations. This role requires project management expertise, and the ability to effectively coordinate cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Where you will work:

Garner is headquartered in NYC, but this position is available for individuals who are comfortable with remote work and occasional travel to HQ.

What you will do:
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end implementation of large-scale and strategic client projects.
  • Create and maintain project plans, ensuring all tasks are completed within the defined timelines.
  • Proactively anticipate and navigate potential project risks, identifying challenges and proposing innovative solutions.
  • Document client requirements to ensure business needs are met and solution value is communicated.
  • Manage teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver project milestones seamlessly.
  • Serve as the primary contact for key client stakeholders throughout implementation.
  • Analyze integration, data mapping, and workflow needs with clients and internal teams.
  • Lead client presentations and status meetings with concise progress updates.
  • Educate clients on product features and best practices through in-depth assistance.
  • Provide training and resources to maximize client benefits from solutions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to drive continuous process improvements.
The ideal candidate has:
  • 5+ years leading enterprise, client-facing implementation projects.
  • Strong communication, leadership skills, and a result-oriented focus.
  • Driven cross-functional teams across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Experience implementing complex SaaS or health-tech solutions.
  • Partnered with clients and internal teams to analyze integration needs, data mapping, and workflow requirements essential for successful integrations.
  • Led client facing presentations and conducted regular status meetings with clients and internal teams, delivering clear and concise updates on project progress.
  • Educated clients on product features and best practices, providing the comprehensive training and resources necessary to maximize solution value.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, adept at building trusted relationships with both clients and internal teams.
  • Facilitated post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement across implementation and client success practices.
  • Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools such as Salesforce, Slack, G Suite, Asana/Smartsheet, and others.
  • A desire to be part of a high-performing, mission-driven team that operates with intense urgency, a strong sense of individual accountability, and a commitment to authentic feedback.

This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing company in a transformative role, helping shape the future of healthcare.
