Job description

Compounding Pharmacy Education & Implementation Specialist

Here at Pharmetika we build compounding pharmacy management software, including Electric Lab and ION. Our Education team helps clients get real value from that software, through onboarding, documentation, and hands-on coaching at their pharmacies.

We're proud to build features not offered by anyone else: features built for pharmacies that are run at a large scale and continue to grow in an expanding market. Those features only help if clients know how to use them well. Pharmetika is looking for someone curious about complex features, who enjoys turning that knowledge into clear documentation and coaching clients face to face. This role is a great fit for someone who has experience with compounding pharmacy operations end to end, led a department or trained new staff, and wants to bring that experience to every client relationship.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the onboarding process for new accounts while providing expert instruction on Electric Lab and ION platforms.
  • Draft and review comprehensive educational resources, ensuring all materials reflect our latest software enhancements.
  • Define and demonstrate high-efficiency compounding workflows that leverage the full potential of our digital solutions.
  • Master sophisticated system functionalities and translate them into actionable, user-friendly insights for our pharmacy partners.
  • Perform on-site visits to analyze pharmacy operations and provide hands-on coaching to improve team productivity.
  • Oversee the support queue during non-travel periods, triaging between technical bugs and opportunities for user re-education and development.
  • Directly address training-related inquiries and efficiently escalate verified software defects to the appropriate engineering teams.
  • Serve as a dedicated specialist who bridges the gap between daily pharmacy tasks and optimal software settings.
  • Evaluate proficiency levels across client teams and design tailored strategies to address specific knowledge deficits.
  • Collaborate with the Product and Implementation departments to influence future feature sets and curriculum design.
  • Contribute to the quality assurance process by testing new releases through the lens of an experienced pharmacy practitioner.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years in a compounding pharmacy, sterile, non sterile, or both, across multiple functional areas (fulfillment, verification, inventory, billing) rather than one station
  • Experience training, onboarding, or mentoring pharmacy staff
  • Strong end to end understanding of compounding pharmacy operations
  • Willingness to travel regularly to client sites, roughly 30 to 40 percent
  • Curiosity about new technology and willingness to learn complex features in depth
  • Strong verbal and written communication; comfortable teaching groups
  • Proficient with MacOS and Windows; able to learn new platforms quickly

Preferred

  • Experience building documentation, SOPs, or training curriculum
  • LMS experience is a plus
  • Experience leading a department, shift, or team in a compounding pharmacy
  • CPhT or applicable state registration
  • Experience with pharmacy management software; Pharmetika experience a plus

Location & Schedule

Primary Locations: US-WI-Madison

US-FL-Miami

US-TX-Houston

Schedule: Full-time

Company Benefits & Perks

  • Future Planning: Retirement planning options to help you build financial security for the future.
  • Team & Culture: Annual company outings to celebrate our wins and build connections with your colleagues.
