Position Information
Job Type Non-Faculty Position Title Associate Athletic Director for Compliance Position Number E99964 Department Athletics Compliance Department Location Morehouse College - Atlanta, GA Position Summary
This position will develop and implement systems and technologies to facilitate an efficient athletics compliance program and manage operational aspects of the athletic department. This leader will report the Director of Athletics. This position will focus on educating student athletes, coaches, and staff on compliance requirements as well as implementing best practices across the institution related to athletics compliance in the areas of financial aid, recruitment, registration, and the athletics department in general. The College's NCAA Division II sports programs are comprised of the following: football, cross-country, basketball, track and field, tennis, baseball, golf and volleyball.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required with prior experience directly related to the specified duties and responsibilities.
Minimum of one (1) year of professional work experience with NCAA/SIAC athletic compliance rules and regulations is required.
Preferred Qualifications Preferred Education/Experience Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must be proficient in data collection and analysis for compliance reporting.
Proficiency in NCAA Compliance Assistance software application.
Must possess strong leadership skills and ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituents in a diverse community.
Knowledge of NCAA recruiting rules and student athlete academic eligibility requirements.
Knowledge of state and federal financial aid policies, procedures, and eligibility requirements.
Excellent communication skills with attention to detail.
Ability to develop and maintain organizational and record-keeping systems and procedures.
Knowledge of NCAA academic and behavioral rules, regulations, guidelines, and standards for student athletes.
Knowledge NCAA team sport operations rules and regulations.
Knowledge of NCAA regulations and guidelines governing the recruitment and retention of student athletes.
Must have excellent program, project and budget management skills.
Knowledge of mental health and life skills development principles, practices and techniques, as related to college athletes

Essential Duties/Responsiblities
Provides clearance for official visits, physicals, and term employment for student athletes.
Assists in the investigation and processing of all Conference / NCAA violations.
Plans, develops, implements, and coordinates the operation of life skills programs for student athletes engaged in intercollegiate sports.
Be a team player with the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of coaches, staff and student athletes.
Serve on college-wide committees and project groups as appropriate.
Athletics Department Operations
Manages operations of Athletics, as directed by Athletics Director, to include coordinating budget, athletic facilities, strategic planning, and managing special projects.
Manages vendor contracts for all away game travels for all athletic teams.
Manages the social media platform including web strategy and design.
Supervise the department's administrative assistant.
