Position Description
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer who is passionate about building modern, customer-facing applications and who also brings strength in cloud engineering and software reliability practices. This role is primarily focused on full-stack software engineering, with additional responsibility for improving the observability, stability, and operational excellence of our platforms in cloud environments.
You will help design and deliver end-to-end product features while partnering closely with teammates to ensure our applications are scalable, secure, maintainable, and reliable. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys owning software solutions from design through production and is energized by improving both the developer experience and the customer experience.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy end-to-end solutions for customer-facing platforms across front-end, back-end, integrations, and deployment workflows.
• Take ownership of product features from technical design through implementation, release, and ongoing support.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, code reviews, and engineering best practices that promote quality, maintainability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to rapidly prototype and deliver valuable new capabilities.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes to enable reliable, efficient, and frequent releases.
• Partner with other software engineers to increase deployment confidence, operational visibility, and platform reliability.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, logging, and operational analytics to support proactive issue detection and response.
• Build and enhance tools that improve debugging, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Help define and maintain cloud infrastructure patterns, templates, and environment standards in partnership with team architects.
• Mentor team members and help cultivate a strong engineering culture centered on ownership, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.
Qualifications
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with significant experience building and delivering modern web applications.
• Strong experience with JavaScript-based full-stack development, including technologies such as Node.js, Express, Vue, and related frameworks.
• Demonstrated expertise in software engineering fundamentals, application architecture, and sustainable development practices.
• Experience working in a modern CI/CD environment with automated build, test, and deployment workflows.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure, with familiarity in AWS considered a plus.
• Experience improving or supporting application reliability through monitoring, alerting, observability, operational tooling, or cloud infrastructure practices.
• Working knowledge of database technologies such as SQL Server, SQLite, document, or key/value stores.
• Strong problem-solving ability and a demonstrated track record of turning product needs into practical technical solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills.
• A self-driven mindset with the ability to take high-level goals and execute independently.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working on customer-facing digital products in a fast-moving, product-oriented environment.
• Experience with cloud resource architecture, infrastructure templates, or environment configuration management.
• Familiarity with DevOps tooling administration and integration of third-party engineering platforms.
• Experience establishing or improving operational analytics, incident response readiness, and production support practices.
