Job description

Ready to make a meaningful impact?

At Brighton Jones, we're a purpose-driven, client-focused team committed to helping individuals live richer lives. As one of the largest RIAs in the nation, we've built a culture of continuous growth, collaboration, and community-recognized with 15 consecutive "Best Places to Work" awards including Inc.com's 2025 list, as well as national honors for community impact.

We lead the industry in aligning wealth, passion, and purpose to help our clients thrive. With over $30 billion in assets under advisement, 300+ teammates nationwide, and a dynamic, team-based approach, we're growing fast-and we're looking for driven, curious individuals to join our #OneTeam.

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Technology team. You'll build the integrations, automations, and applications that scale how Brighton Jones operates and serves clients. This is a hands-on, full-stack role with real ownership across design, build, and delivery.

You'll work across a modern tech stack, contribute to architecture decisions, and partner directly with business leaders, analysts, and other engineers to solve real operational problems. You'll also help shape the evolution of our integration platform as we modernize toward event-driven, API-first patterns.

Required for application: take our Values in Action Self-Assessment to see how our values align!
Your Role
  • Design, build, and deliver integrations that automate the flow of data across our internal systems and external partner platforms
  • Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines that move and transform data across systems, with strong attention to data quality, observability, and reliability
  • Develop SQL-based data models, queries, and stored procedures to support reporting, integration, and application needs
  • Maintain and evolve existing MuleSoft integrations while contributing to the migration toward modern, code-first integration patterns
  • Build custom applications and components that solve business problems and remove operational friction
  • Develop AI-enabled features and workflows, including LLM integration, automation, and digital worker use cases
  • Partner with Business Analysts and stakeholders to define requirements, design solutions, and set expectations
  • Lead full-lifecycle delivery on Agile projects: requirements, design, development, testing, deployment
  • Contribute to code reviews, technical standards, and engineering culture
Your Experience
  • 4-6 years of full-stack software engineering experience
  • Strong fluency in modern stacks: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and cloud-native development
  • Strong SQL skills, including query optimization and data modeling across relational databases (SQL Server, Postgres, or equivalent)
  • Hands-on experience designing and operating ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration workflows
  • Object-oriented design and development experience
  • Experience integrating systems via REST and SOAP APIs, event-driven patterns, and integration middleware
  • MuleSoft experience strongly preferred; familiarity with other middleware (Boomi, Informatica) also welcome
  • Cloud experience (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP also welcome)
  • Track record of designing solutions that bridge current and desired states, and delivering them end-to-end
  • Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable working directly with business stakeholders
  • Bonus: Salesforce development experience (Apex, Lightning Web Components, Financial Services Cloud)
  • Bonus: AI/ML application experience (LLM integration, RAG, agent frameworks, prompt engineering)
  • Bonus: Financial services or wealth management domain exposure
The Opportunity
  • Build modern systems on a strong foundation, with direct influence on architecture
  • Hands-on role in modernizing our integration platform from MuleSoft toward modern, code-first patterns
  • Direct contribution to AI, automation, and digital worker initiatives
  • Tight team where senior engineers have visible impact and executive-level visibility
  • Greenfield to shape engineering practices and technical direction as the function scales
Compensation:
  • Targeted base salary range is $117,000 - $160,000 per year.

Ownership & Financial Wellbeing
  • Fully paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees
  • 401(k) with 100% match up to 3% of annual compensation
  • Equity ownership opportunities for every employee
  • New Business Incentive Program
  • Generous employee referral bonus
  • Cell phone data reimbursement
  • Financial planning services discount for employees and immediate family members

Time & Flexibility
  • Minimum 3 weeks PTO starting Day 1
  • Winter Break, Summer Friday flex-days, and 10 paid holidays
  • Unlimited Volunteer Time Off plus company grant matching
  • Heavily subsidized transit

Growth & Development
  • 100% reimbursement for required training, certifications, licensing, and dues
  • Personal career development plans
  • Richer Life Business Partner (coaching for all employees)
  • Mindful Emotional & Social Intelligence training
  • Annual professional & personal wellbeing stipend

Connection & Community
  • Quarterly team-building events
  • Regular social events
  • Employee-led book clubs, committees, and affinity groups

Family & Milestones
  • Paid Parental leave (13 weeks for birthing parent and 6 weeks for non-birthing parent)
  • Adoption benefits
  • Anniversary milestone celebrations, including a 3-month paid sabbatical at 10 years
Visa Sponsorship: Please note, we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for the position offered. Accordingly, we are unable to hire individuals who require, or will require, employment visa sponsorship either now or in the future.

We are committed to building a business where all of our team members genuinely love where they work and are empowered to reach their full potential. We do this by building authentic relationships with one another, learning and growing continuously together, working hard while having lots of fun, and giving back to our community.

Brighton Jones is a team founded on equity and respect, and we're on a mission to help each other, our clients, and global community thrive. We actively foster a compassionate and inclusive culture and are committed to creating a diverse #OneTeam where teammates can show up authentically.

To the right individual, we offer very competitive compensation, a robust benefits package, an award-winning culture, and rewarding career growth.
