Job Title: Software Engineer III (Full-Stack & Cloud Architecture)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced, analytical, and hands-on Software Engineer III to serve as a technical subject matter expert within our agile delivery teams. In this role, you will architect, engineer, test, deploy, and support highly scalable, maintainable end-to-end custom software applications, shipping code iteratively on a regular cadence.
This is an individual contributor leadership role requiring deep proficiency in full-stack engineering, clean code principles, and Extreme Programming (XP) practices like pair programming and Test-Driven Development (TDD). You will collaborate closely with product owners, designers, and fellow engineers to solve complex technical and business problems, while coaching team members on best practices and emerging technologies. If you excel at building robust, high-scale applications in modern cloud environments, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Software Engineering & Delivery
• Full-Stack Development: Architect, build, and deploy high-scale, n-tier custom software applications and web/mobile platforms from top to bottom.
• Agile Execution: Act as a technical subject matter expert on a cross-functional scrum team, delivering business value iteratively (shipping frequently from daily to bi-weekly).
• Code Quality: Ensure rigorous software quality by writing clean code, utilizing pair programming, Test-Driven Development (TDD), unit testing, and continuous integration (CI/CD) pipelines.
Technical Leadership & Innovation
• Best Practices Coaching: Influence and mentor team members on engineering best practices, design patterns, and emerging technologies.
• Complex Problem Solving: Tackle intricate technology and business challenges using creative, scalable engineering methods.
• Cross-Functional Strategy: Partner with product, design, and other disciplines to develop technical strategies and align solutions with overarching business objectives.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or an additional two years of relevant professional experience/training in lieu of a degree).
• Experience Baseline: Minimum of 4 years of dedicated professional experience in software engineering or a closely related technical area.
• Technical Mastery:
oProven experience building custom, high-scale, n-tier applications using object-oriented programming languages.
oHands-on background developing web or mobile applications using modern technologies.
oExpertise in Test-Driven Development (TDD), unit testing, pair programming, and other Extreme Programming (XP) techniques.
oSolid understanding of cloud computing environments and modern design patterns for clean, performant code.
oProficiency with Git version control for code management and logging.
• Core Competencies: Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to introduce new ideas to developer communities; high degree of professionalism; excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• General Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Attributes
• Experience building high-scale distributed systems running in cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying applications to Kubernetes environments.
• Familiarity with modern DevOps practices and supporting tooling.
• Specific tech stack exposure including .NET Core, .NET WebAPI, and SOLID design principles.
