About the Role

As a Maintenance Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of the facility, ensuring the functionality, safety, and efficiency of all machinery, equipment, and infrastructure within the cold storage environment. This role involves managing a team of maintenance technicians, scheduling preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment failures, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

What You'll Do
  • Maintenance Team Leadership & Safety Compliance - Lead, train, and evaluate the maintenance team while ensuring adherence to safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company standards. Oversee scheduling, performance, and ongoing safety training to promote a secure and efficient work environment.
  • Equipment Maintenance & Repairs - Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs for all warehouse equipment, including refrigeration systems, conveyors, and forklifts. Diagnose malfunctions, perform or oversee repairs, and coordinate with vendors for specialized services to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Facility & Inventory Management - Manage building infrastructure maintenance—including lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems—to maintain optimal cold storage conditions. Maintain accurate inventory of tools, parts, and supplies, ensuring timely procurement and replenishment.
  • Process Improvement & Documentation - Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repair logs. Analyze equipment performance and maintenance data to identify efficiency improvements, reduce costs, and support continuous process enhancement.
What You Bring to the Pak
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance or technical role, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity. Experience in cold storage or food logistics is preferred.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree or certification in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or a related field is a plus.
  • Certifications: Should have one or a combination of Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) and Certified Manager of Maintenance (CMM). Preferred certifications include OSHA safety certifications, Building Operator Certification (BOC), and EPA HVAC certification.
  • Skills:
    • Strong mechanical and technical skills, with knowledge of electrical, refrigeration, and HVAC systems.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of warehouse equipment.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage a team effectively.
    • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards (OSHA, etc.).
    • Proficiency in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
    • Forklift certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in cold storage environments with temperatures as low as -20°F.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb ladders for extended periods.

Salary Range: $65,000 – $75,000 annually
