Location: Hunt Valley, MD

We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer to support the development of advanced ground vehicle technologies. This role involves solving moderately complex technical challenges and contributing to both current and next-generation products across the full software development lifecycle.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, integrate, and test embedded and system-level software in a dynamic and hands-on environment.

• Develop solutions to technical problems of moderate scope and complexity for ground vehicle systems and related technologies
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including concept development, design, implementation, integration, and evaluation
• Design and implement software at the component, subsystem, and system levels, including embedded control systems and operator/sensor interfaces
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions
• Support offsite integration, testing, and evaluation activities as needed
• Contribute as both an individual contributor and, as experience grows, in potential leadership roles
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 2+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree in a related field
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C, C++, or Java
• Basic experience with shell scripting
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis (OOA) and Object-Oriented Design (OOD)
• Experience working in Unix/Linux-based development environments

• Experience with network, serial, or CAN interface development
• Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Git or Mercurial
• Experience using Jira or similar issue-tracking systems

This is a Contract position based out of Hunt Valley, MD.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $90.00/hr.
