We're looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license to join our Bozeman team and help deliver innovative projects that positively impact the communities we serve.
As part of our collaborative, full-service design team, you'll work alongside architects, engineers, planners, and designers to develop thoughtful electrical solutions for a wide variety of building types. From schools and office buildings to multifamily housing, hospitality, financial institutions, retail spaces, and other commercial developments, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to projects from concept through construction.

Occasional travel for site visits and client meetings may be required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor electrical design staff throughout project design and construction phases.
  • Develop practical, efficient, and constructable electrical design solutions to meet project objectives.
  • Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to design power, lighting, and related building systems, including preparation of construction documents and specifications.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, manufacturers, vendors, and internal project teams.
  • Perform major equipment sizing and selection.
  • Ensure electrical designs meet Jackola's quality standards and project requirements.
  • Utilize industry software to perform electrical load calculations, lighting analysis, and system modeling.
  • Support construction administration activities and respond to contractor questions during construction.
  • Contribute to business development efforts, including proposal development, client presentations, project interviews, and conceptual cost planning.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry partners.

Requirements
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience designing building electrical systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical building systems, applicable codes, and energy requirements.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage priorities, exercise sound judgment, and mentor junior staff.
  • Demonstrated flexibility, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities to support long-term project and client goals.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Bluebeam, photometric modeling software, and Autodesk Revit.
