Job Description Job Description Description: Columbia Engineering is seeking an experienced Civil Site Engineer for our commercial site development department. This position necessitates leadership, strong communication skills, technical proficiency in land development, and expertise in project tracking and budgeting. Responsibilities: Prepare construction documents, reports, and calculations for both private and public sector site developments.

Design site plans, grading and drainage plans, utility plans, erosion control plans, and stormwater management systems. Monitor construction progress through site visits. Implement and inspect erosion control measures.

Produce comprehensive construction documents for various design projects. Supervise the creation of reports, studies, and specifications. Provide construction-related services and mentor junior team members.

Obtain permit approvals from relevant authorities. Collaborate within a team to ensure projects meet budget and schedule requirements. Manage multiple project schedules, budgets, and billing processes.

Mentor junior engineers and CAD technicians. Assist with proposals, bidding processes, and construction administration. Conduct quality control reviews and sign off on completed designs.

Coordinate with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects. Requirements: Minimum Requirements: BS in Civil Engineering A minimum of 5 years of design experience. A minimum of 2 years of experience in Project Management. Professional Engineer (PE) license in Georgia or the ability to obtain one within 6 months (licenses in additional states are preferred).

Knowledge of recreational parks, subdivisions, and industrial and commercial site design. Understanding of zoning and development ordinances. Preferred Qualifications/Skills: Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D.

Experience with hydrology and hydraulics modeling software. Familiarity with GIS software and Bentley StormCAD. GSWCC Level II Design Certification.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
