Job description

Consumers Energy is Michigan's largest energy provider, providing natural gas and/or electricity to 6.8 million of the state's 10 million residents in all 68 Lower Peninsula counties. Location:  This position will be a hybrid position located in Jackson and travel within the State of Michigan may be required. Leaders will discuss the work arrangements which best fit the nature of the work along with overall business needs.

The Information Technology (IT) Internship Program is geared toward current college students who have a passion for IT and an interest in Consumers Energy and the energy industry. The IT Internship Program at Consumers Energy has core principles of skill development, ability enhancement, and knowledge application-experiences designed to be complimentary to traditional classroom instruction.

What you will do:

IT Interns will work as part of a larger team to provide hands-on support and development for information technology across our business. This could include application/software development, networking infrastructure support, governance and compliance analysis, and more - all while helping co-workers effectively and efficiently utilize information technology resources.

In addition to working alongside full-time employees carrying out the IT strategy for Consumers Energy, IT Interns will have the option to participate in a number of events within the program, including intern networking events, company tours and the Intern Competition. There are so many new, exciting opportunities in the world of IT. It's a very exciting time for Consumers Energy; come be a part of our history!

MUST be a current student to be eligible for an Intern role and actively enrolled and pursuing a bachelor's degree in:
