Job Title: Lead Software EngineerLocation-Type: Hybrid (3 Days A Week Onsite - at one of the following locations; Baltimore, MD 21224 / Wilmington, DE 19803 / Irving, TX 75062) Start Date Is: June 22 or June 29Duration: Contract to Hire (6 Months)W2 Pay Rate Range: $64/hr – $74/hr Benefits: Eligible for Health, Dental, Vision, 401K Must be authorized to work in the U.S. This position is not eligible for sponsorship .  

Job Description: Lead the development and delivery of scalable, customer-facing financial wellness applications while providing hands-on technical leadership across frontend, backend, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems initiatives.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Lead development initiatives across customer-facing enterprise applications
  • Build and support scalable applications using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, and AWS
  • Own technical delivery from requirements gathering through deployment and production support
  • Drive architecture and design discussions involving APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven workflows
  • Collaborate with Product, UX, Engineering Managers, and cross-functional engineering teams
  • Break down complex technical challenges into scalable, actionable solutions
  • Mentor engineers and guide technical problem-solving efforts collaboratively
  • Participate in code reviews, CI/CD improvements, and engineering best practices discussions
  • Support production operations, monitoring, observability, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Help improve engineering quality, delivery execution, and overall team effectiveness
Minimum Requirements:
  • 10 years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong frontend engineering experience with React, TypeScript, and JavaScript
  • Strong backend engineering experience with Node.js, APIs, and microservices
  • Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures/CDC workflows
  • AWS cloud environment experience
  • Experience owning technical delivery from requirements through production
  • Strong enterprise product engineering mindset
  • Proven ability to lead delivery and collaborate across multiple teams and stakeholders
  • Experience mentoring engineers and guiding teams through complex technical challenges
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive execution proactively
