We're seeking a motivated and curious Software Engineer to join our innovative team at Purpose Financial. The ideal candidate is an eager learner who can translate requirements into quality code while embracing our mission to help customers achieve financial stability.
Job Responsibility
  • Develop and maintain software applications following established coding standards and best practices
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to implement features and resolve bugs, demonstrating our "Get Sh*t done" principle
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging processes to ensure high-quality deliverables
  • Assist in the creation of technical documentation to support the development lifecycles
  • Work within cross-functional teams to understand customer needs and contribute to solutions that "Obsess over Customers"
  • Learn and apply new technologies and methodologies to continuously improve your technical skills
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to team planning and estimation
  • Support the maintenance and improvement of existing systems and applications

Education Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
Experience Required
  • 3+ years of hands-on software development experience in a professional environment
  • 3+ years experience with Frontend frameworks (Vue, React, Angular)
  • 2+ years of Java development, preferably with Spring Boot
  • 2+ years experience with RESTful API design and implementation
  • 1+ years working with cloud services - AWS is required (Lambda, EC2, S3 experience expected)
