Job description

The City of Clemson is now accepting applications to fill 2 positions for a Video Production Intern. This position, under the direct supervision of the Communications team, will coordinate and produce audio/video programming for social media and other platforms. The projects include producing video, photos, and graphic design elements.

The Intern will experience the video production process from start to finish, learn about City departments and support marketing efforts. Interns are expected to represent professionalism at all times as their work may bring them into contact with local elected officials, city administrators, visitors, businesses, and residents. We encourage interns to dress in a professional and appropriate manner.

Applicants must be available to attend some after hours or weekend events. Examples of Duties / Knowledge & Skills Creates video productions to prepare and present general informational/promotional materials involving the City and community. Scripting and storyboarding the project in collaboration with the Communications team and/or programs/departments.

Photographs events, programs and features throughout the City. Understands the phases of video production including shooting, editing, graphics and distribution. Film video for shortform and longform formats.

Operate camera, audio, and lighting. Edit and produce video formatted for various platforms. Communicates official plans, policies, and procedures to staff and the general public Minimum qualifications & Requirements Education & Experience Requirements: Undergraduate or graduate student at a college or university.

Background in video production. Good communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Basic proficiency with office computers and related software.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Canva preferred. Beginner knowledge of camera functionality. Licenses or Certifications: Must have a valid Driver's License, or ability to obtain one.
