Job description

About the role:

As a Steam Generator Thermal-Hydraulic Engineer, you will perform thermal-hydraulic engineering analysis for existing steam generators within the operating nuclear fleet and support new steam generator designs. You will provide general thermal-hydraulic engineering assistance within component engineering for major components, such as the steam generator and pressurizer, to support the operating nuclear fleet, including upgrades, repairs, and modifications.

You will report to the Manager, Component Design and Management Programs and be located at our Madison, PA location and can work in a hybrid capacity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform modeling and analysis of steam generators using proprietary Westinghouse thermal-hydraulic codes.
  • Perform engineering calculations to support our steam generator designs including CFD Analyses or other similar software tools.
  • Meet project commitments, schedules, and project budgets. Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Address customer and regulatory requirements and concerns.
  • Present technical information to technical leads, internal groups and project managers associated with assigned work scope.
Qualifications:
  • B.S. in Mechanical, Nuclear, or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience with heat transfer, fluid mechanics and general fluid transport.
