Sr. Software Engineer in Test

San Diego, CA

Role Overview

Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Sr. Software Engineer in Test in San Diego, CA to design and build a scalable test framework for functional, integration, and regression testing for the PlayStation Direct eCommerce platform.

Requirements

Master's degree in Computer Science or related or equivalent, and two (2) years of experience designing and implementing robust and scalable automation test frameworks for functional, regression, and integration testing of backend and frontend services using Java, TestNG, Maven, Selenium, Cucumber and Page Object Model architecture; applying data-driven testing principles to ensure maintainability and scalability of test suites; building and integrating automation frameworks into Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, enabling automated execution of test cases with each deployment cycle for continuous validation and feedback; developing and executing end-to-end API testing for RESTful services using Postman and REST-assured framework; validating JSON and XML payloads, handling authentication, and verifying business logic across microservices; converting manual test cases into automated test scripts to improve coverage & efficiency, reduce execution time, and eliminate human error for critical features; participating in agile software development processes, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily scrum meetings; and performing root cause analysis of test failures and production issues while ensuring product quality, test stability, and continuous integration readiness.
