Waldemar S. Nelson is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and managing structural projects across various industries including industrial and offshore sectors. This role involves leading junior engineers, producing comprehensive design packages, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. Field experience and proficiency with structural analysis software are highly valued.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis from an accredited institution. • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is preferred. • Minimum of 5 years and up to 15+ years of experience in structural engineering, particularly in industrial, oil & gas, or marine structures. • Strong knowledge of US Codes and standards. • Proficiency in structural analysis software such as RISA, SACS, and familiarity with MS Office and Teams. • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and manage projects effectively. • Field experience is a plus.
