Job description

Job Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain features/components across assigned clinical software applications; write testable, documented code for a regulated production environment.
  • Deliver independently end-to-end (requirement refinement through release); surface risks/trade-offs early.
  • Participate in design/architecture trade-off discussions.
  • Perform and support peer code reviews; uphold code quality and compliance.
  • Partner with product management to refine requirements, identify constraints, and estimate backlog items.
  • Write and maintain automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • Produce technical documentation (design notes, ADRs, operational runbooks) meeting SOX and FDA change-control obligations.
  • Instrument/monitor/support production systems; participate in incident response and root-cause analysis.
  • Automate recurring manual tasks.
  • Support newer engineers via code review and knowledge sharing.
  • Use AI coding assistants and agentic workflows across design, implementation, and test generation (with peer/engineering review).
Required Qualifications:
  • BS in CS/Software Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years professional software engineering in production systems.
  • Full SDLC experience in a team environment (requirements, design, implementation, testing, release).
  • Experience writing/maintaining automated tests for production.
  • Routine peer code review practice.
  • Regular use of modern AI-assisted development tooling.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Healthcare/clinical lab/diagnostics/life sciences software background.
