What You'll Contribute
The Engineer II will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting modern technology solutions that enable critical business capabilities across loan servicing and enterprise operations. This role combines software engineering, business process understanding, and emerging technology expertise to deliver scalable, maintainable, and efficient solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and engineering teams to develop applications, APIs, business rules, and automation capabilities that improve operational effectiveness and customer outcomes.
What You'll Do
  • Design, develop, test, and support applications and services using Python, SQL, and related technologies.
  • Partner with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business processes, requirements, and operational objectives.
  • Develop and maintain API-based integrations using MuleSoft and related integration technologies.
  • Design and implement business rules and decisioning solutions using modern rules platforms such as Camunda, Drools, or similar technologies.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize database solutions, queries, and data processing capabilities to support operational and analytical workflows.
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies to improve development efficiency, operational effectiveness, system intelligence, and business outcomes.
  • Participate in software design sessions and contribute to architecture decisions that support scalability, maintainability, and long-term business objectives.
  • Support Agile delivery teams by participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, development, testing, and production support activities.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes utilizing Azure DevOps and associated development tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while identifying opportunities for process automation and system improvements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, solution designs, data flows, and operational support procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and operational standards while delivering technology solutions.

What You Have
Minimum
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 4-7 years of experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise applications and integration solutions.
  • Strong experience developing applications using Python and SQL.
  • Experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs and service-based architectures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand both technical and business requirements.
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex application and production support issues.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working across the full software development lifecycle from requirements through deployment and support.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to emerging technologies and development practices.

Preferred
  • Experience with MuleSoft development and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Experience working with rules engines and decisioning platforms such as Camunda, Drools, DMN, or similar technologies.
  • Experience developing with AWS Cloud and Infrastructure as Code.
