?Cat Digital is the digital and technology focused organization within Caterpillar, Inc. Our global team is responsible for bringing digital capabilities to Caterpillar's world-famous yellow iron. Working with your yellow partners and Cat Dealers, we execute key components of digital and marketing portfolios, including global marketing & brand, enterprise data, analytics and AI, equipment management, eCommerce, digital marketing, rental & used digital solutions, and aftermarket leads & insights.?

What You Will Do ??

As a Software Engineer on the Platform Services team, you will be responsible for developing backend APIs that can be used by multiple digital applications. The team currently develops variety of core/common & reusable services such as user onboarding, organization hierarchy, asset dynamic attributes, etc. into Caterpillar's digital eco system.

What You Will Have - Skills and Experiences ?

• Decision Making and Critical Thinking : knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment?

• Effective Communications : understanding of effective communication concepts,toolsand techniques; ability to effectivelytransmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application ofappropriate communicationbehaviors?

• Software Development : knowledge of software development tools and activities; ability to produce software products or systems in line with product requirements?

• Software Development Life Cycle : knowledge of software development life cycle; ability to use a structuredmethodologyfor delivering and managing new or enhanced software products to the marketplace?

• Software Integration Engineering : knowledge of software integration processes and functions; ability to design, develop andmaintaininterfaces and linkage to alternative platforms and software packages?

• Software Product Design/Architecture : knowledge of software product design; ability to convert market requirements into software product design?

• Software Product Technical Knowledge : knowledge of technical aspects of a software product; ability to design, configure and integrate technical aspects of software products?

• Software Product Testing : knowledge of software product testing; ability to design, plan, and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure software product quality and adherence tostatedrequirements?

Top Candidates May Have: ?

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related degree?(selected candidates must complete their degree by their start date)?

• 0-2 years of relevant experience related to this field (internships or academic projects are a plus)?

• Minimumcumulative GPA requirement 3.0/ 4.0 (no rounding)??

• Experience in developing,maintainingand supporting back-end services using JAVA25 or higherandSpringBootRESTFulAPI Development

• Experience deploying andmaintainingsoftware using public clouds such asAWSor Azure.

Summary Pay Range:

$79,800.00 - $119,760.00
