Job Summary:
Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is seeking a highly experienced Software Engineer to support the Joint Training Synthetic Environment (JTSE) and JLVC Modernization efforts. The role involves leading the design and integration of innovative solutions to enhance joint operational training and readiness for military customers.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Lead the design, engineering, and integration of innovative solutions to address Joint Operational Training Gaps.
โ€ข Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of major software development efforts, ensuring alignment with mission goals and stakeholder expectations.
โ€ข Guide technical integration across multiple M&S domains, including emerging areas such as Space M&S.
โ€ข Serve as a primary technical liaison with government leadership, military partners, and adjacent organizations.
โ€ข Evaluate industry tools, technologies, and processes for potential integration into JLVC modernization efforts.
โ€ข Architect scalable, flexible, and efficient LVC training solutions that support joint operational readiness.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
โ€ข Ten plus years of hands on experience with Modeling & Simulation (M&S) solutions and Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) systems and architectures.
โ€ข Ten plus years integrating LVC solutions, including work with simulation interoperability standards and data translation.
โ€ข Five plus years supporting live training range systems, networks, and associated architectures.
โ€ข Demonstrated experience working within Joint LVC training environments, systems, and architectures.
Preferred:
โ€ข Experience supporting large scale government or military M&S training systems.
โ€ข Proven success leading cross functional teams in developing or modernizing JOTG solutions.
โ€ข Strong understanding of networking and multi domain integration techniques.
โ€ข Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate across senior government and military stakeholders.
โ€ข Ability to operate effectively in complex, high stakes environments with tight timelines.
โ€ข Demonstrated critical thinking and innovation in solving operational training challenges.
