The Senior Software Engineer leads and oversees the software engineering function in developing, releasing, and maintaining software applications and systems according to business needs. What is a day in the life of a Senior Software Engineer?
  • Contribute to the evolution of our tech stack, primarily using Node and Go.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product stakeholders and brand management to ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Work closely with front-end engineers to ensure seamless integration of back-end services.
  • Own and continually improve the throughput and stability of product delivery and application lifecycle, in partnership with product and program management.
  • Leverage the software you build to enable workflow automation and AI integration across Pattern
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
 
What will I need to thrive in this role?
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a focus on back-end development.
  • Proficiency in Node or Go.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or a similar database.
  • Experience with AWS, Terraform/IaC and/or Python are a plus.
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining high-performance APIs.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS products and experience in fast-paced, iterative development environments.
  • Proven ability to lead projects and work independently with minimal supervision.
