As a Professional Engineer for Roadway, you will be responsible for a variety of projects, taking ownership from start to finish.
  • Design and analysis of freeways, interstate highways, interchanges, urban and rural roadways, and shared-use trails
  • Prepare studies, reports, memos, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a wide variety of transportation projects
  • Work under the direction of a Project Manager to lead the roadway design discipline and to coordinate and integrate the other associated design disciplines on projects
  • Support project managers with client relations, stakeholder coordination, and sub consultant management
  • Take ownership of projects from start to finish, with attention to quality, budget and schedule
  • Interface with coworkers to achieve shared success
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineering license in state of employment or ability to obtain within one year of hire
  • 5-10 years of experience in roadway transportation engineering
  • Experience working on multidisciplinary project teams
  • Solid background in AASHTO roadway geometric design criteria
  • Proficiency using Bentley and/or Autodesk civil design software
  • Knowledge of DOT standards and plan preparation procedures
  • Drainage design and/or traffic engineering experience is a plus
  • Solid written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivated, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications
  • A desire to grow personally and professionally with each project assignment
