ABOUT THRASHER
The Thrasher Group is a multi-disciplinary firm that has been growing throughout the Mid-Atlantic region for over 40 years. Our team of civil engineers, architects, landscape architects, and field services professionals brings genuine passion to every project. Our Land Development team serves a wide range of public and private clients on commercial, residential, industrial, public improvement, reclamation, and outdoor recreation and tourism projects.
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Land Development team and lead projects from concept to completion. In this role, you will manage all aspects of project delivery while contributing to business development and mentoring the next generation of engineers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee preparation of construction plans; perform or review calculations for design, grade lines, alignments, and drainage
  • Oversee preparation of plans for permitting and construction of land development projects, including design, layout, grading, drainage, and E amp;S controls
  • Prepare detailed project cost estimates
  • Mentor junior staff and support their professional growth
  • Assist clients with bidding and construction administration
  • Coordinate with construction inspection personnel and review daily field reports to ensure contracted work meets design intent
  • Manage all aspects of project delivery including client communication, financial management, and internal and external team coordination
  • Participate in business development activities including client meetings, proposals, RFQ submissions, and strategic planning with division leadership and marketing staff
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Education: BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university required; other engineering degrees considered based on relevant experience
Experience: 5–15 years of relevant land development experience preferred
Licensure: PE certification required
