TITLE: Software Development Engineering - Advisor
EMPLOYER: Fiserv Solutions, LLC
LOCATION: Milwaukee, WI (and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. subject to authorization from management)
DUTIES: Develop and maintain global currency applications in the payment domain. Design and implement database schemas and queries to optimize for efficiency and scalability. Automate the build, test, and deployment processes, ensuring continuous integration and delivery. Manage continuous deployment pipelines to streamline the release process and minimize downtime. Deploy and manage applications on AWS, leveraging cloud services for scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues, implementing solutions to improve system reliability and user experience. Write and maintain comprehensive documentation for code, processes, and system configurations to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field and 4 years in any job title involving coding with Java to build enterprise applications. Prior experience must include: 4 years working with Java design patterns; 4 years writing code with automated unit and integration testing; 4 years building and supporting RESTful web services; 4 years working with Spring Boot REST APIs; 4 years working with any combination of the following back-end databases: Oracle and/or Postgres; 4 years working with IntelliJ and Unix; 4 years working in full software development life cycle using agile methodologies; 3 years working with any combination of the following: AWS, Pivotal cloud, Azure, and/or GCP; and 2 years working with DevOps Pipeline, GIT Lab, JIRA, Confluence, and Harness.
