Bennett Thrasher is seeking an AI & Automation IT Intern in Atlanta, GA. The AI & Automation Intern will support internal AI pilot programs and automation initiatives by assisting with testing, documentation, and configuration of AI tools and workflows. This role will work closely with IT and development teams to help translate business needs into AI-enabled solutions while following established AI governance, security, and data handling standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with AI pilot programs and rollouts, including testing new tools, validating functionality, and documenting results.
  • Participate in the design, configuration, and build of internal AI agents and automations under supervision.
  • Support testing and quality assurance for AI agents, workflows, and integrations to ensure reliability, accuracy, and compliance with firm standards.
  • Help document AI agent use cases, prompts, workflows, and limitations for internal reference.
  • Work alongside developers and IT staff to experiment with automation concepts, APIs, and low-code/no-code tools.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business problems and help translate them into AI-enabled solutions.
  • Follow established AI governance, security, and data handling standards during all development and testing activities.

Required Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in software development, automation, and AI technologies.
  • Basic programming experience (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or similar) or demonstrable coursework/projects.
  • Familiarity with concepts such as APIs, prompts, workflows, or automation tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
