Modjeski and Masters is seeking Civil Engineers interested in Internship opportunities focused on Bridge Design in our New Orleans, LA office location

We are looking for Summer 2027 Internships. 


What We’re Looking For
  • Student who are working towards BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited College or University

What You’ll Do

As a Civil Engineering Intern, you will support the design and analysis of bridge structures and transportation infrastructure under the supervision of experienced engineers. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting in the review and verification of standard structural design calculations.
  • Supporting the structural analysis and design of bridge components using engineering software tools.
  • Helping develop preliminary design details using CAD software and providing input to CAD technicians for contract plan development.
  • Contributing to design reports by compiling relevant technical information.
  • Communicating effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, in a professional engineering environment.
  • Reviewing and checking engineering drawings under the close supervision of a Senior Engineer.
  • Gain exposure of structural analysis and design software such as LUSAS, RISA-3D, LEAP Bridge, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.
  • Learning and applying relevant design specifications and standards, including AASHTO, AREMA, AISC, and ACI.
