Job Summary:
Broadcom is seeking experienced Software Engineers to participate in an Agile development environment producing functional software solutions for delivery to customers. The role involves developing high-quality software aligned with user needs and business objectives, while collaborating with team members and interacting with customers for feedback.
Responsibilities:
• Developing modern high-quality software - Create unit tests and perform functional testing of software to find bugs and confirm that delivered software meets specifications and quality requirements.
• Interactions with customers for demos, and feedback sessions.
• Drive opportunities to increase efficiency and productivity through best practices.
• Define and create pipelines to enable Continuous Testing within Agile teams.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s in Engineering and 5+ years of related experience or Master’s degree in Engineering and 3+ years of related experience
• At least 5+ years of experience of mainframe development experience
• Has mastered the basics of operating as a developer in the IBM mainframe environment
• Mainframe Assembler, Metal C, Java and Rest APIs
• Mainframe debugging skills using IPCS, VM Trace, XDC, etc.
Preferred:
• Expertise on Mainframe extensible frameworks such as ZOWE and dealing with pass tickets, certificates, keyrings
• Experience in software testing methodologies such as BDD and TDD
• Strong understanding of security protocols and Security ESMs
• Source control systems experience (Endevor)
