Job Description:
A Software Development Engineer works on building and maintaining the core Kubernetes platform within AWS, ensuring seamless container orchestration and scalability for AWS customers.
Responsibilities and Skills:
  • Core Kubernetes development: Building and shipping services that enhance Kubernetes' capabilities.
  • Scalability and performance: Working with distributed systems and network protocols to ensure optimal performance on a large scale.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Designing, deploying, and managing Kubernetes clusters using tools like Terraform and Helm.
  • Cloud platform expertise: Proficient in AWS Cloud Platform with system design, application development, testing, and problem-solving.
  • Continuous Integration/Delivery: Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
  • Monitoring and alerting: Setting up monitoring, logging, and alerting for Kubernetes clusters using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Splunk.
  • SQL skills: Strong knowledge of SQL, especially with databases like PostgreSQL and AWS RDS.
  • Programming languages: Proficiency in languages like Java, Go, Python, or C++.

Requirements:

At least 20 years' experience as a software engineer (at least 24 years' experience if no Bachelor's degree)
