Role Description

As a Technical Lead - SDET at Incedo, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining automation frameworks, tools, and scripts to ensure software quality. You will also participate in code reviews, develop test plans, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software products.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  •    Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable test automation frameworks and solutions using tools such as Java
  •    Define and drive the overall test automation strategy, standards, and best practices across projects
  •    Mentor and guide a team of SDETs and QA engineers, promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement
  •    Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into robust testing solutions
  •    Oversee test planning, execution, and reporting to ensure high-quality releases
  •    Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and faster delivery cycles
  •    Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to automation and quality engineering standards
  •    Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide innovative solutions
  •    Develop and maintain documentation, including frameworks, test strategies, and best practices


Technical Skills

Skills Requirements:

  •    Strong expertise in test automation tools and frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, and TestNG is required.
  •    Experience owning an automation framework end-to-end is required.
  •    Experience with Playwright is required.
  •    Proficiency in programming languages such as Java
  •    Experience designing and implementing automation frameworks from scratch
  •    Expertise in using interfaces, inheritance and abstraction in an automation framework.
  •    Experience handling dependency injection or configuration management in Java based frameworks.
  •    Ability to design a TestNG framework from scratch.
  •    Experience implementing parallel execution in TestNG.
  •    Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
  •    Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and shift-left testing practices
  •    Experience with API testing, UI testing, and end-to-end automation strategies
  •    Must have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  •    Financial Services, Wealth Management or Banking industry experience.
  •    Must understand the company's long-term vision and align with it.
  •    Should be open to new ideas and be willing to learn and develop new skills. 
  •    Should also be able to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Qualifications

  •    9-12+ years of work experience in software testing and quality engineering
  •    B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech or MCA degree from a reputed university. Computer science background is preferred
