DUTIES:  Architect, design, and implement complex, scalable software systems to support EDA CAD and PDK development and design-automation workflows. Serve as a technical lead for major software initiatives, driving architectural decisions and ensuring long-term maintainability and extensibility. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, process technology, manufacturing, and IT) to deliver tightly integrated software solutions. Define software requirements, technical specifications, and development standards for critical platforms. Lead design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions across teams. Develop and deploy software tools, frameworks, processes, and metrics used broadly across R&D. Drive software quality through robust testing strategies, automation, and best practices. Diagnose and resolve complex system-level issues affecting internal customers. Develop advanced CAD, EDA PDK, and design-automation workflows, including layout-driven automation, geometric data manipulation, and PDK infrastructure. Mentor and guide junior and senior engineers, raising the overall technical bar of the team.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 5 years of experience in software product development to include: (1) Advanced EDA Tools & RF Design Platforms: Cadence MWOffice, Keysight ADS, Synopsys ICV & Mentor Graphics Calibre DRC/LVS; (2) RF/Microwave PDK Development BAW/SAW resonator modeling, Advanced piezoelectric material characterization, Complex DRC rule integration, Multi-parameter design extraction, Automated design footprint generation for 5G applications; (3) Programming & Algorithm Development: Advanced C++, Python scientific computing, MATLAB signal processing, Ruby automation, and C#/.NET enterprise development (4) specialized EDA Scripting & Automation: Visual Basic for Applications, SKILL (Cadence LISP), AEL (Keysight Advanced Expression Language), Perl data processing, Advanced PowerShell automation; and (5) Enterprise Frameworks & Cloud Architecture: Qt5 GUI development, Cucumber BDD testing, and Appium mobile automation.
