Job description

As aΒ Software QA Engineer for the advanced semiconductor packaging equipment team at Kulicke and Soffa, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of complex real-time software systems. These systems coordinate motion control, pick-and-place processes, image acquisition, and object recognition.

You will work in a collaborative Agile (Scrum) environment alongside developers, system engineers, and global teams to validate new features, identify defects, and improve overall product quality. This role includes bothΒ manual and automated testing, with exposure to simulation environments as well as physical equipment.

  • Bachelor in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related fields.
  • ~4-8+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing (flexible based on level)Β 
  • Strong understanding ofΒ software testing methodologies, test design, and defect lifecycleΒ 
  • Experience with python test automation frameworks or scriptingΒ 
  • Exposure to C++ codebases for debugging, test design, or system understanding

  • Experience testing real-time, embedded, or hardware-integrated systemsΒ 
  • Demonstrated systems thinking ability to understand end-to-end workflows, component interactions, and failure scenarios across software and hardware layersΒ 
  • Exposure toΒ Agile/Scrum development practicesΒ
