Amazon Workforce Core Organizations is building futuristic solutions to revolutionize the way we think about managing our workforce and developing internal products to enable Amazon to conduct day to day business. Our mission is clear: We seek to be the most technically proficient organization in the world to serve Amazonians.
If you're thrilled by the idea of ownership, passionate about creating new features and services from scratch, and comfortable with the pace of shipping software in cycles measured in weeks, we would love to connect with you.
Key job responsibilities

* Collaborate with technical teams, customers, and stakeholders to understand problems deeply and develop thoughtful solutions
* Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews to maintain high standards across the codebase
* Mentor and support other engineers through knowledge sharing and collaborative problem-solving
* Take ownership of features and services from design through production, ensuring reliability and performance
A day in the life
As a Software Development Engineer on the Workforce Core Organizations team, you'll focus on designing and implementing scalable systems that serve our internal workforce of over 2,000,000 people globally

Your day might include collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand intricate business problems, writing and reviewing code that meets our highest standards, and contributing to the architecture of products that enable Amazon to operate seamlessly. You'll participate in code reviews, engage in technical discussions with colleagues across different teams, and take ownership of features from conception through deployment. Beyond core development work, you'll have opportunities to mentor peers, share knowledge through technical discussions, and help shape the future direction of our platform.
About the team
We are a technical organization dedicated to serving Amazonians through innovative internal products and solutions

Our team works at the intersection of scale and impact-managing hiring cycles that bring on over 200,000 employees in just four weeks, while supporting the day-to-day operations of our global workforce. We're building the next generation of workforce management technology, and we're looking for engineers who are excited about ownership and can thrive in a fast-paced environment. Our customers are internal teams across Amazon who depend on our solutions to operate effectively.

We're committed to insisting on the highest standards in architecture, coding, testing, and deployment, and we believe in supporting each other's growth through collaboration and mentorship.
